Oh hey, you clicked the "About" tab. Either you're genuinely curious, or your mouse slipped. (Either way, make yourself at home.)
A UI/UX designer by day, and a relentless badminton player by weekend.
Hey, I'm Leandro — a designer with a bit of a plot twist.
I didn't start in design; I originally thought coding was the path for me. If you had told me during my college days that I’d end up designing interfaces, I probably would have laughed—visual design just wasn't on my radar. But looking back, I was always the one naturally taking charge of the ideation phase, mapping out the logic, architecture, and flow of a system long before we wrote a single line of code.
That technical background gave me a lens wider than just the screen, helping me realize that structural, big-picture thinking is the core of design.
Today, I thrive in the messy, ambiguous parts of product building. Whether I am untangling the intricate mechanics of data-heavy financial dashboards or streamlining complex workflows for medical AI tools, my favorite part of the job remains the same. I love taking highly technical, heavy information and translating it into clear, calm digital experiences that actually feel human.
It’s an unexpected pivot from where I started, but what a life.
Why Design?

Design is my favorite way to make sense of complexity. Whether I am untangling dense data for a financial trading platform or structuring intricate workflows for a medical AI tool, I like finding the pattern in a mess and turning it into something clear and calm. When it works, it feels obvious — like the interface was always meant to be exactly that way.
My IT and front-end background helps me think far beyond the surface of the screen. I see the underlying architecture driving the experience — from the first click to the exact moment someone either trusts the product or quits. Because I understand the logic underneath, design is where I get to bridge the gap between heavy technical systems and the human on the other side, turning the full journey into something people can actually use.

UI/UX Designer
June 2025 – Present
Now, I take full ownership of the product lifecycle—from user research and ideation to wireframing and seamless developer hand-offs. I act as the design lead for complex client projects like HGT, Golden Connections, and Horizon, where I tackle intricate, data-heavy financial dashboards. I also drive end-to-end designs for internal apps like TrashWise and new features for Sparrk. Whether I am architecting scalable design systems or collaborating with stakeholders, my focus is on independently solving complex problems and delivering cohesive, high-quality experiences.
Lead Product Designer
February 2026 – Present
As the sole designer at Mederi AI, I took complete ownership of the product's strategic direction and completely overhauled the app's design. This required optimizing complex user flows and restructuring the sitemap for highly technical medical dashboards focused on gastrointestinal AI video annotation. I manage the entire design process independently—from initial user research and high-fidelity wireframing to seamless developer hand-offs. Working directly alongside the founding team, I continuously iterate on new features based on stakeholder feedback, while also extending the product's reach by designing its core landing pages.

Junior UI/UX Designer
June 2024 – May 2025
As a Junior Designer, I took on my first end-to-end app design for ProjectFlow, handling everything from user journeys to final wireframes. I actively maintained Material UI templates and built scalable components for our design systems, working closely with developers and PMs to ensure accurate implementation. Embracing the need to wear multiple hats, I also designed marketing emails and creative assets, while simultaneously stepping into my first client-facing projects to translate business needs into intuitive designs.

UI/UX Design Intern
February 2024 – May 2024
Coming from a BSIT background, my internship was all about mastering professional workflows and bridging the gap between design and front-end execution. I jumped straight into internal projects, actively participating in product discussions and crafting feature wireframes. I also supported the broader team by designing marketing assets, gaining a hands-on understanding of how a product moves from a conceptual idea to a collaborative reality.
